    Exclamation Knock-knock

    Dear Xara...

    Knock-knock.
    Who's there?
    Xara's customers.
    Xara who?

Three months ago, we had v16.3.0.57723.
Since then Xara engagement on TG has been minimal with almost all of January passed already.

I may be wrong but I think the last time Xara actually responded to a Dear Xara Post was 27 November last.
I have given up counting the number of Dear Xara Threads I have raised without any Xara engagement; responses are coming back from your customers.

Your CEO swears that Xara Desktop applications are central to its future.
Version 17 is reaching mythical status. 7 updates from v15.0, none without its issues, defects, problems and bugs.
Bugs abound (Start-up time, Table (09) hyperlinks, fully-justified text, ...). Features languish. Third-party updates are non-existent.

    Xara is reaching mythical status.

In terms of TG and the desktop apps, yes, Xara is fast becoming 'Once Upon a Time.' But with the eyes directed upwards, into the Cloud, a busy bunch working on a new future is clearly discernible.

Agreed, and I have bought into both.

Xara Cloud has stormed ahead to Release 68; it has had 3 releases since 25 October 2019 against nothing for the XDAs.
Comparable costs, disproportionate development and support.

I have had the occasional nudge and wink from sources saying don't worry something new is coming. When it comes, it is buggy.
I keep deferring changing current sites or working on new sites every time I hit another SNAFU.

Smart Tables and Charts handle data differently.
Text Area justification is still wrong.
    Rotated text becomes a graphic.
    Things get introduced and abandoned.
    Questions go unanswered.

'Once Upon a Time' had happy endings!

Well, that's just fine and dandy for desktop users, is it not?
