    Default Douglas XB-42 Mixmaster

First flown in 1942 the XB-42 was built as a fast bomber. Two V12 engines were located in the fuselage with a contra- rotating pusher props. As fast as a Mosquito, and able to carry twice the load.
The Douglas was just too late with the introduction of jets. Two prototypes were built. The first having two cockpits.

Thanks Gary, Paul, Joe. It was a good fast aircraft, just a little too late to the party.
