Douglas XB-42 Mixmaster

First flown in 1942 the XB-42 was built as a fast bomber. Two V12 engines were located in the fuselage with a contra- rotating pusher props. As fast as a Mosquito, and able to carry twice the load.
The Douglas was just too late with the introduction of jets. Two prototypes were built. The first having two cockpits.
