If you don't recognize the name, Syd designed for 2001: A space Odyssey, Star Wars, Sony's Walkman, Blade Runner[/URL]...basically, anything and everything that looks futuristic.

He often referred to himself as an Industrial Futurist. Sony asked him to design what a Walkman would look like five years before it was released.

I knew of Sid, he was a great talent. In addition to the things you mentioned Gare, Sid was also an Architectural Delineator like I was, it was as as an Architectural Delineator that I was aware of him. R.I.P. Sid.
