You've probably opened a design for a later version into an earlier version where the code to handle it doesn't exist.

hmmm... unless the program auto-updates?
I had just 2 xar files open? both are new
I closed then both
closed the program
re-opened the newer xar file and got the error as it was loading
(does ^^ that help)
after I close the error box -- I do not seem to have any issues

Make a copy of your design file.
Delete the Table SmartShape you have and Save, Close and Open that file. If all right then you need to rebuild the Table.
If you have more than one Table deal with them one at a time until you have isolated the offending Table.
