Default Photoshop to xara - Image size 1:1?

    Getting closer...
    Options> View> Bitmaps[/B

image still only imports at the wrong size 1920 x 1676px not 1920 x 2200px

Import, drag drop, drag from bitmap library, etc. all the same result a tiny image that is not the same size as the xara doc.
    PS doc = 1920 x 2200 72 dpi, 96 dpi, 300 dpi
    Xara Doc = 1920 x 2200 (?dpi)

are either of those images that you have posted the image you are having trouble with - the first appears to be a screen capture, the second is not at all clear

i cannot remember the last time I had an issue importing bitmap and I do it a lot, so I'm thinking it is an issue with this particular image, if you posted it would be easier to check

I just created a new document in Photoshop. Made the page size 1900 x 2200 pixels @ 96dpi.

I saved the image as a PNG and imported it into Xara. At 1:1 it is the correct size.

The problem might be creating the page size at 72dpi which is the Mac/Photoshop default.

Thanks for checking, it works with a regular document, but it might be the website template that is the issue. I changed the 'Web page 960 px' settings to 1920 x 2200px.
and when the image imports it's not 1:1 it's always 1920 x 1676px. something is capping the size even with 'Import dpi specified in file..'

    I changed the 'Web page 960 px' settings to 1920 x 2200px.
    Here are the setting used:
New> 'Web page 960 px (XGA)
Page Options> View> Import at DPI Specified

if you look in the bitmap gallery - does it show 'optimised' by the bitmap name

if you want to avoid this do what acorn suggested originally and drag your bitmap onto a blank photo doc and then copy paste from there, does that work ?

sorry but I have no idea why it is being optimised this way; maybe the web experts do

note it is being resized only - from 1920 x 2200 to 1676 x 1920 if you import an image 2200 x 1920 the resize will not happen, so my guess is that there is a width restriction of 1920 for directly imported images into the web page document

looking at it again I think there may be a restriction in both width and hight
