    Default erratic control bar behaviour

hi, i'm sure the answer to this lurks on this forum but i can't find it.
i activate certain toolbars and drag them into position. but every now and then upon opening the program most of them are de-activated and moved around [obviously].
what can i do to overcome this?
    regards

Are these docked or floating? I have a small control bar with about 5 items that I have docked at the top of my screen and it never moves.

But my guess is if your control bar is floating then it will not stay in one place.

    tx gary!
after a win10 x64 update this afternoon the glitch is gone - the control bars stay put where i want [dock] them. so it could have been a hardware situation which was addressed by the update... strange but true...

i thought the problem was solved as indicated earlier but alas designer resorted to some default arrangement and ignored my choices, so i have started getting used to this aberrant behavior, i attach a shot of the 'default' also indicating the now near redundant feature of actually choosing which toolbars should display in following sessions. in other words designer 'forgets' my choices of which toolbars should be displayed as well as their docked positions and resets itself to the default. the question is whether it is a setting which i miss out on or a software glitch. i will do a clean install of the program and tell you guys...
