Nav Bars - not showing the page that I am on ??

tried GEL buttons and Music?
get a slight mouseover indication, but
after the page is selected, then the buttons all look the same
not good == how do I fix

By default the MouseOver button displays the current page. But not if the current page is part of a sub menu.

If you are using pre-made buttons from the Content Catalog then this should work.

We need more details.

after looking CLOSER = can see that the page I landed on has the text in the navbar buttons
a few pixels lower than the other
and the hover over - is a very slight dip in the button
I want to edit these effects
but I can not find where to edit them
I double click on the navbar -
I get the popup
i ungroup to edit graphics - that not work
I edit the text sizes - but they auto reset
same for colors

I want to change the mouseover color of the background or text
same for the active page that I sit on

You really need to sit down with the Help or PDF Manual and properly understand, MouseOff(, MouseDown) & MouseOver layers; how they make up a button and how a collection of (similar) buttons can be turned into a NavBar. The deconstruction and altering of a NavBar needs all of the above.

One trick is to replicate a NavBar button single and put it over the required page NavBar button; you can then change colour, size and action totally diferent to the NavBar.

I have used this in the past. You need to put the button in the MouseOver layer for each page. PITA for sure but it does work.

If you add a MouseDown layer, this layer needs to appear over the MouseOver layer. And the MouseDown layer will not be the layer to indicate the current page (with the caveat as mentioned earlier) that this will only work on the main pages and not on pages that are part of a drop down menu.
