Default photo gallery (slideshow) - can not find what I want

    I just bought Pro X

    I want a photo page = =
    need about 20 thumbnails
they get large with mouseover or a side window that is full size
    and
under the full size is a text label for the photo
all the templates seem to have thumbnails OR labels
    am I missing one?

    thanks

    Create your own.
Drag an image onto your design page and size down to thumbnail dimensions.
    Web Properties > Image > Photo pop-up --> Tick.
Add your "text label" to Image caption.

sure == that is easy --
but I want to have a LARGE view also
and have the large view be the one that is clicked or mouseover
    (like the widgets)

    thanks

I don' understand your questions here at all.

The "LARGE" view is set in Image > Pop-up width.

    Which widgets?
You click a thumbnail to get a large view.
You click it again to close it.
You use left/right arrow keys to close current and open prior/next image.

If you want navigation arrows on the large image then you have to create each large image in its own Layer and add the left/right chevrons and links in those layers.
Any amount of text can be added to the image layer as you see fit.
Each thumbnail then just opens the image layer.

layering is more effort but far more flexible.

Here's what Acorn is suggesting, very simple. Not a Mouse-over but a Click. Just preview to see in action.

Thank you for going to the effort Egg.

I think TD's terse OPs are actually after controls on the full-size image; the second part of my answer.
I have taken your file and added my second suggestion.

@TD, you also enquired why there weren't any Widgets you could use.
The whole point is a Widget is totally constraining and you simply cannot plan for the imagination of the designer.
What Xara Desktop applications do is offer a set of tools, through which you imagination can be realised.
