    Default I absolutely hate

I obviously don't understand the relationship between the Main and Mobile versions of a website in Xara. I deleted a page in the Mobile version that had no content and LOST a page with the same name in the Main version in which I had invested a lot of work. Surely the program should have warned me. This is a real weakness in this dual "feature" IMHO. Grrrr!

    Don't hold back.

I agree. And I have made the same mistake too many times myself. What you have to do is just not link to the pages in the Mobile variant but do not delete them.

And to be on the safe side, delete the content on the pages on the mobile variant you don't want anybody to see. I discovered that when I rotated my iPhone, it showed a page I had not linked to.

I am going to move this to the Dear Xara forum which is where bugs and feature requests should be posted.

The Undo feature is also of great use in this scenario, as is the back-up feature.

I did recover the lost work on the Main version using an autosave backup but had to re-do the work on the Mobile version.

While Help says that Responsive Web Design automatically responds to the device used, I don't see this happening. I find I have to replicate much of the content in the Mobile version.

Perhaps you can tell me how this is an improvement over the "old" way, where the device had to contend with reformatting content. I admit I'm an old curmudgeon.

Undo totally quits on you if you have made a Save and Closed.

Just to throw in my two cents: When I first started learning WDP, I had a couple of occasions where I changed or deleted something that I couldn't undo or recover, although I had autosave set to every 10 minutes. My solution was to start saving the project manually after I felt like I had advanced a bit AND every time I was about to make an experimental change or if I feared something couldn't be undone. I would save each instance with a number at the end (e.g., "project 1"), copy it and rename it with the next number ("project 2"), then leave the first one alone and start working on the new file. I could make whatever changes I wanted to try and feel safe knowing that the previous version was safe and sound. It's worked very well for me, and I've been saved on numerous occasions.
