Yes, both to an external drive (not always on) and to Google online storage. You may be on to something here!

I have always used Dropbox with an internal drive with no issue.

I'm back and the problem has returned. I'm using the workaround I mentioned. I "Save as" with a different name then the next time with the correct name. Confusingly, by times it will Save normally.

The web publishes correctly and saves as it publishes. Autosave is working, too.

I've been getting a similar error message when downloading photos onto my computer from my iPhone. I wonder if this might be caused by the recent Windows update that seems to have messed up several things.

I get this error when saving to Google Drive as well. We may have a fix which I can test today and possibly push to make it in 16.3

Windjamer, do you also save your Xara Backups to Google Drive? What is the backup frequency?
If the file size is quite big you may have been trying to save just as a backup is in progress uploading into the Cloud or even the backups are stacking up.
