Different site. Load times under 4 seconds, save time under 3. I didn't publish it because it's live and for a customer, but it's nowhere near 11 minutes. If it was more than 1 minute I would remember. Upload speed 18Mbps according to Ookla.

I have more pages and more power, but you have 4x the amount of 'objects'. The 11 minutes to upload is very dependent on your ISP, or do you mean the whole process of publishing directly from Xara?

My machine is getting rather long in the tooth but I'm running an SSD so my read/write times will be a lot faster.

It would be interesting to do an apples for apples test.

At almost 3,000 objects, there is a lot of processing going on. Handshaking these same objects in an upload would be slow as well.

Never again will I accept a project this big, at least not that much text and objects. They can go to wordpress for all this.

Yeah, that's an advantge of using a CMS on a bigger site, you just design up a few page templates for the website, maybe a few fancier pages like the home page but then can then let the client create and populate the rest of the pages with content themselves. And the website doc ends up being really light and speedy to work on because it isn't weighed down with every page and piece of content of the website.
