    Default Re: Transparent background

I just exported a stereogram I just completed that has four layers of transparency and a background to Photoshop as a .psd file (each layer of the images is on it's own layer in Xara) and the transparency comes in just fine.

I think what might be happening is you are not adding objects to separate layers.

In my screen shot from Photoshop you can see two of the layers with the checkered background.

it can certainly be done.. after all, by default, the background of a psd is alpha unless you happen to fill that space with something

I haven't got Photoshop so I can't check this out but what happens if you drag 'Set no Colour' onto the page?

Yes but the client wants the layers, so doing that will not keep the layers.

Well, as always you guys been helpful. I do not have photoshop yet. Will not pay for cloud, going to install cs6. Client said now it is good, not sure what I did, but soon will review it in photoshop.
I also tried dragging the transparency onto the background. Sorry to have confused all, including myself LOL

My suggestion appears to work using https://www.photopea.com/ to open the .psd file.
