Thought some of you might be interested in this mountain effect. Just a pull of the bevel into the centre. Wondering Tao.

So what you are saying is that you drew the mountain and added a bevel to it, pulling the bevel in instead of out??

Cool.

Tao,

unique style - like the unique style from Risto. I like the color arrangement, but to be honest, I don't see the bevel in the mountain - but IMHO the river does have a bevel. Or I'm totally off the track (kind of late here...)

... I missed your post!

I can see what you mean about your mountain bevel idea - I like it. That is a great use of Xara tools - I will try to think about the bevel tool when it comes to rendering depth in objects.

I love your illustrations, they have such a carefree and spontaneous feel about them. You should try painting in watermediums also, I think your ideas would come across really well in them.

But of-course keep posting here also - it is such a treat!

Hi Jens, the bit in the middle of the mountain is the bevel, and yes the river is bevelled only the other way.
Hi Risto, I do dabble in watercolors, that is why I keep my edges open on some of my sketches. I just love the way water moves over the paper, out of one edge into another. The Universe has no closed edges we only think they are there. Really everything is open.
The reason I like your work is the same you like mine. I like the colors you use and the fun. Eventually I want to paint light, Turner is one of my favorite painters. Thanks Tao

Great use of the Bevel Tool, Roger.

I wonder if it's possible to add more facets to the mountain by adding more shapes with the same color and the same bevel technique.

This should get people thinking. I think.

After saying that, I went back and created this Homage to Roger's Mountain.
