SEPIA TONE FILTER

Can someone help me figure how to turn a pic into sepia tone effect?

Place a sepia (brown) rectangle over the photo.

Apply a Flat, Color transparency.

You can also do it by making the image a Contone (edit the light and dark colors with the photo selected).

You can also use one of the filters in (Local/Online) Designs Gallery/Components/Image Resources/Photo Filter Presets/Filters/Monotone.

I always thought that a monotone referred to a voice...

Well Bob monotone may well be a voice quality, but IF YOU WERE PAYING ATTENTION you would see we were referring to CONTONE which is someone who speaks in a monotone and is trying to con you.

That said, there is also a quicker way. Select the photo. Open FX (Photo Tool) and select Sepia. This option give you a lot more control.

If you don't like the colours produced by the Xara options, there are a quite few other filters and plugins available, and of course apps like Affinity Photo. I suppose it's all according to personal taste and your perception of what sepia is.

I raqn this test for you, as you can see the SEPIA TONE FILTER gives superior results to monkeying around with Contone colors.
