Mobile first seo indexing

So what are your thoughts on mobile first seo indexing and how would you think it would work with Xara?

My take is..

1. make sure you have a mobile version of your website
2. make sure each page has (mostly) the same content across both desktop and mobile
3. make sure mobile loads as fast as possible.

Nothing new really but perhaps matters more now for Google SEO, probably for searches made on mobile devices in particular.

On one of my sites it gives a page load speed of 4.5 seconds but when I test it myself without cahching I get under 2 seconds so it's probably going to vary a bit based on visitor/server location. Also add your site to Google Search Console (previously known as webmaster tools) to check for any mobile friendly errors and other possible website issues.

xtom great links. A lot of the issues surround xaras output. Like CSS, JS, images in next gen format, etc... So there is not much we can do, is there?
