    Exclamation RGB Colours

    Dear Xara...

I have been puttling along since ever thinking your colour bar meant something.

Xara Red is HTML Red (#ff0000).
Xara Green is almost HTML Lime; why is is #00ff03 (HTML Green is #008000)?
Xara Blue is almost HTML Blue; why is is #0003ff?

I have always assumed Red, Green & Blue were primary colours.

Years ago it was "explained" to me why the fairly adequate palette of colors was revised to the one we have today. The explanation was these were "primary" colors from which other colors can be mixed. I did not but this then and I do not buy it now. The colors are not primary colors.

Hence I created by own palette of named colors which rides atop every new document I create and which appears in correct order on the color line. If I could only make the other palette go far away, I would do so in a heartbeat.

not only that but if you fill a square with blue from the colour line and then try to adjust it with the colour editor it will not let you move to 0000ff you have to enter that value manually, and then it 'behaves'

looks like a bug to me

Embarrassment. My secondary color Yellow is not correct. It should be 255 R 255 G.

Ah, Brilliant Steve. One of life's small vexations sorted.
