    Default Making an object repel

    Tired to follow manual, but still cannot make it work. Any help with Making an object repel like they have at Intro

    Make sure the object is on top (Arrange > Bring to Front)

    And also make sure that the text you want to repel is NOT set to repel.

    Can you upload your page here? And are you repelling text? And is the text on the same layer as the repelling object?

    You can copy just the page you are having problem with. Right click and select Copy Page. Then in a new document Paste > Paste Page. Upload just that page and we can see if we can figure out what is happening.

    I was having the exact same problem even though I thought I was following the Xara instructions on repelling text objects. Turned out that for some reason the text was set as repeat on all pages, even though it did not do that. I turned off that option and immediately the repelling worked as it should. I thought I would post this in case someone else has similar problem as the Xara manual does not address make that clear.

    Thanks for the update.

    Another common reason for this is the text area has also be set to repel.
