Default Movie Intro ahead of first page

We want to run about four seconds of a film clip in full screen mode before the first page is displayed.

    How can I do this?

There are (at least) two ways to achieve this outcome:

The first is to edit your video such that it transitions and closes to your chosen pasteboard and page colour as a background; then have your content delayed by up to 10 seconds through Web Animation e.g. https://video.initiostar.co.uk/introvideo.htm.

The alternative approach is autoplay (mute but not loop) the full browser video and through additional HTML/CSS (in the same placeholder) have the video transition to a background in a defined number of seconds. I have used the first approach because it is simpler and works across any variants and all browsers, it also gives the opportunity to create additional transition and effects through the video itself.

The attached example XAR has a number different approaches to managing video (you will though need to edit each placeholder widget with your own video source).

    Hopefully, this gets you started.
