    Default New bitmap tracer

I've been using the relatively new tracer/vectorizing tool in the free Photopea
tool which can be found at http://www.photopea.com. Look at the tutorials section for the write up on it. I think it's pretty good and there's a good number of output
formats to choose from. I'm curious what the experts here think of it and how it compares to other tracers mentioned here.
    Thanks

If it works and it's free, what's not to like?

I use Vector Magic which more than lives up to its name but it is a bit pricey. I do not like Xara's bitmap tracer. Since it was added it has been completely forgotten and almost everybody has a more intuitive and effect bitmap tracer.

I haven’t the patience to use the Xara bitmap tracer and often it just doesn’t work as expected. I have however achieved some very useful results using the one that is integrated into Inkscape.

    https://inkscape.org/doc/tutorials/tracing/tutorial-tracing.html

Using the same bitmap image you could run a comparison between the tracers you have access to.

Despite the link looking good, you actually used http://internal/tab?url=https%3A%2F%2Finkscape.org%2Fdoc%2Ftutoria ls%2Ftracing%2Ftutorial-tracing.html&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.talkgraphi cs.com%2Fnewreply.php%3Fdo%3Dpostreply%26t%3D81622 &target=_blank

Unsure of a link in your browser? Right-click and pick Inspect; you then can see where it's going to take you.

This is a safe link. Do you trust me?

Or right click on the link, select Copy Link Location, and paste into the web address window (without first hitting Enter).

You can go directly to https://vectormagic.com/ and drag and drop an image and concert it to vector. $9.95 per month or one time purchase of $295 if you do a lot of tracing.

The automatic trace is spot on or you can do a custom conversion.

Original bitmap on the right, trace on the left.

And if you look at the control points, my second image, they are very few. The product is expensive but if you do a lot of tracing, it is worth every penny.

On my machine this doesn't work for Chrome for the link I chose.
