    Anything is possible in Xara. Here I've blurred one side of the image to give the effect of a mist rolling in. Done
    quickly but I could have done a better job but it shows what Xara is capable of.

    The OP had the opposite problem - putting detail in where it's blurred.

    if what you have is a blur then you can 'sharpen the blur'... that is all you can do... no program can process information that is not actually there, not even xara [sorry stygg] - so you may get something meaningfull when you sharpen, and you may not - what you will not get is the original.. how close you get depends on how much blur there is

    Topaz have a fairly new tool called Sharpen AI. I Haven't tried it myself but it looks impressive. It might be overkill with the price unless it's something you'd use often though.
