    Default The ice breaker Yamal

    Looks like the Yamal is right up the swanee without a paddle Joking apart the Yamal is a fantastic nuclear powered ice breaker.

    I'm really not sure that nuclear-powered anything on water is a great idea ( submarines included ). Disasters waiting to happen.

    Not as bad as that nuclear-powered plane that the USA developed.

    The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant is on land.
    I'm not sure that's a good idea either. I'm sure you know about the disaster in 2011.

    Indeed, but none of us are volunteering to switch to candles, so we are all complicit in nuclear power generation (if you aren't using green power).

    Now I can go and watch 'On the beach' and 'Silkwood'..
