    Default Toxic waters

I found this cartoon in an article about toxic waters on the China Daily website. I think it says it all about the state of our oceans and rivers.

Nicely done Stygg. Sadly not really a laughing matter anymore (if it ever was).

Shockingly I read recently a river (Tame) in the UK had the worlds highest recorded level of plastic pollution per square meter of sediment.

Yeah, sad to admit, but it's true. And in my opinion it depends not only from governments, but also from basic people. For example, when I installed my new faucet for kitchen (from here: LINK REMOVED BY MODERATOR), I've also got an opinion from the expert of plumbing things, that I need to install filters as well. It's cost will be fully compensated, of course.

And what if we would count the ocean pollution from plastic, etc?

    It's a world wide disaster.

    B. Kliban and Walt Kelly were two of my favorite cartoonists for very different reasons. I remember Kelly's portrayal of Lyndon Johnson as a longhorn steer. Brilliant. And Deacon Mushrat, whose dialog was always drawn n Old English style letters, Molester Mole, and the who incredible crew. Kelly's wife tried to continue the strip after Kelly died but there was only one Walt Kelly.
