Huh, weird. Windows 10 updated Adobe Flash on my computer recently, if I'm not mistaken...

If I am not mistaken which I may be, the problem with flash is flash does not play on mobile phones. That's why if there ia any doubt I would do a gif animation, but then it's difficult to get a smooth animation without increasing the file size, so that is where css comes in.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

Flash player is still available for Windows. Current version 32.0. It was mainly sidelined once Apple refused to port it to their mobiles. It did work on Android devices, and still does as far as I'm aware.

Gif's are a poor substitute. I now use Hippani Animator 5 for basic HTML5 animations and recently purchased Saola Animate which is far more advanced than Hippani and a bit of a learning curve.

Flash was ditched because it had become a security risk.
HTML5 is/was supposed to take care of the need for flash.

I'm still waiting for everything to be sorted.

Well, for a ditched product, it's still alive and freely available.

It doesn't come close to the capabilities of flash.

I'm still waiting for everything to be sorted.
    That is a lifelong wait.
