    Default Website variances

I hope you guys don't mind but I have another little problem

    1. I'm working with responsive web design format but I can't get to get the website variance clickable buttons to highlight or un-gray so that I can click on them and creative variants. I am right clicking on the webpage and no matter where I right click it still does the same thing.

    2. Where the red arrow upper left hand corner is pointing there used to be clickable windowboxes but now it doesn't show them. How do I get them back and get my format working as it was before?

Everything was okay until yesterday afternoon when I was trying to create a variance. I must've click something wrong and put me in a cascade mode and the two problems that I'm talking about above. Still learning but having fun!

    Info Re: Website variances

again, In getting rid of your cascaded design pages, you have closed the document tabbing.

Reopen with Window > Show Document Tabs.

But I'm still having a problem with the website variance option buttons not being clickable. They are grayed out. The first screenshot shows when I right-click on my webpage and the website variance options are grayed out. The second screenshot shows when I click on the window button, I'm not sure if there's anything under the windows tab checked or unchecked creating this problem.

How many variants have you already created?

I managed to create a mobile version but it's the same size as my main version. The screen will shot show show you that the mobile version is the same size as the main version. I have other webpages saved and when I go to them the main page is full size and the mobile is narrower. Question, is there a way for me to check the pixels no matter what I'm working with ?Like a right click and check properties somehow?

Certainly. 'File' > 'Page Options' > 'Page Size'

Again, if you're just starting out with Web Designer, I would suggest you first practice on a dummy site.

Boy, I'm okay and thanks for the suggestion. I hit a wrong button but with, Chris M, help I was able to check the mobile website pixels and found out that the pixels are set properly on the mobile side but the mobile page is as wide then the main pages. I'll just drag it over. Anyway I'm working on two other websites in a responsive format and the main and mobile website look normal. I do need a lot more practice I'll give you that but working with Xara has a very comfortable learning curve. Thanks again!

Good to hear that you're confident about your approach.
