create realistic hair/grass in photoshop, and preferably in an easy way (not hours of using brushes). For example, put some hair or grass on a ball/sphere.

ha no problem, can i upload the pics onto this server, or is it linked up?
Yes, you can upload the pic to the server as long as the file size isn't too big (the max file size allowed escapes me). Just select the Post attachment box when you post a new message.

I think the max upload size here is 300kb.
I guess just try it and find out. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
the heck with that... just say no to 300k grafx clogging up some systems... zip em and send them private... a smaller example would be just fine for my viewing pleasure... I would kindly suggest that 100 should be tops and on average anything in and around 50 or less is cool... we have to keep in mind that some are still viewing over 56k modems... also remember that in some threads we have mutiple grafx posting so things add up eh...anyways, just my opinion http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
Ya i agree Gigit.
This amount was a carry-over from the old "i/US" days. Xara Ltd. has not changed this to my knowledge.
But it is by NO means an applicable file size. Jpgs @ 40-50% compression can be just fine for example images. Only an onLine gallery would warrant a higher quality.
I'm sure folks will usually reduce file size whenever they can, prior to posting.

Gidgit, believe it or not, but it's actually highspeed what 'some' of us have.
One week ago I checked the latest reliable statistics; 67% of all users in the US are still using a 56K modem. Yeppers, I was amazed too! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
