Kate (Moir) recently posted HERE re Xara Cloud. Unfortunately members can't reply to such announcements within that section, so I've started a new thread here.

We have been pleasantly surprised about the use cases and overall usage of Xara Cloud by Xara Desktop customers

I'm glad Kate has raised this point. In my opinion it was one of the best possible features within Xara products, and I did use it with a couple of clients allowing them to update content. However over the months I've felt this feature, matching Xara Desktop features with Xara Cloud has been put on the back boiler.

So this announcement is welcomed but examples of this integration between the two programs would be more than welcomed. Could you supply examples of the interrogation or even better a video of the same Kate?

Yes indeed Jon. I still feel that the integration of Xara Cloud & Xara Desktop products are moving apart rather than getting closer.

This is probably correct, keeping in mind that the audience that Cloud is aimed at is small - medium businesses and we'd like it to be independent of needing desktop for anything (which defeats some of the benefits of the Cloud). Its feature set is being designed around this.

That being said, as you know Cloud is built on the desktop engine so we've taken advantage of that easy integration with desktop files and I imagine we'll keep working on having this ability.
