This is really a hopeful sign. And also belongs in Website Design Chat. I will move the thread.

    Thanks Gary.

Okay, really like this and works well with Xara's svg files.

Unfortunately I can drop a Xara generated svg into vivus-instant and get it to animate etc but I can't get the downloaded svg to run in a browser. I'm missing a step. Perhaps Acorn or Siran would be kind enough to have a look-see

Sorry, I should have firstly thanked rsrsrs for the link

This is very similar to whiteboard software apart from not having the pen/pencil/hand drawing but it's so smooth I really think this is excellent, just want to get it working in a browser!

If anyone wants to give this a try, I attach a Xara generated svg. Download and Save. Open the link below and drag & drop the svg into the page. Hit Update. It's fun to play with.

I've been looking to embed an animated svg into Xara and I've hit a problem. The svg code needs to be pasted inline and whilst doing this I couldn't get it to work. Eventually I found that this was a Xara shortcoming. Xara must have a limit to the amount of text you can place in a placeholder. In my case although all the code was copied, only about a quarter was actually being held !!!

I'll see if I can get it to work on a simpler drawing.

    Info Re: animated svg

Egg, can you not attach the svg file into the Xara manifest: use any selected object and press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+A and attached the svg file.
In another placeholder body, simply add <img src="index_htm_files/filename.svg">, adding width and height to scale.

Peter Collingridge has an online SVG Optimiser tool that might reduce the size (Source: https://css-tricks.com/using-svg/).

Hi Acorn, I can get static svg's to load fine in Xara. However these svg's have css included. It appears they have a trigger class .start

I don't know how to invoke this trigger.

I'm using this to load the svg:

    <object type="image/svg+xml" data="index_htm_files/egg_animated.svg" width="450" height="325"></object>
I've attached the downloaded svg I'm trying to get to work.

    There is some guidance
on invoking the svg but it's beyond my capabilities.

Any assistance would be gratefully welcomed.
