Default Could you please check why I get error on linked images?

    Hi,

I am working on a site; www.jimseido.com, and under Products I have put two small images that are linked so that when you click one of the small ones it should show bigger and above the small ones.
I works fine when I preview in Xara Designer Pro (latest version) but not on the web after publishing.
The link refers to a js-file that I can't find, but that might not be the problem.

What I did was placing a generic image and then on two pop-up layers the bigger images linked from the two small ones under the big one.
So, at first glance you see the static image and when you click the left small image it pop ups over the static image. Then when you click the second small image it should pop up over the image shown above.

But, as I said, it does not work after publishing the site.

    Any hints?

    Hello Olle

Can you post the XAR or WEB document so we can look and see what is causing the problem.

One comment. Your site is very clean and pure. But the drop down menus look heavy. I would make the background for the drop downs white and make your text gray and the highlight color the same color as the home icon.

Hi Olle, I don't think you can have two popup layers over one another, they have a fixed y axis position, so one will always be under the other. you need to make sure the first one closes on the click to open the second. could you try checking the "close automatically" box in the pop up layer properties? this way it should work, and by having it set thusly, by clicking once more, the default photo should show again.

I tried to recreate what you need, and with the box checked, it seems to function well, I even published it to my own website, and still works like intended.

    See file.

The images simply do not exist on the server.

    Ops!
I published it as I always do.
First I save the Xar-file, then I export it to web and after that I use WS-FTP Pro to upload it to the server.
I'll make a try to upload the images now.
    Will be back soon. ;-)

I republished the files and they seem to be there, but with the same problem.
It looks fine when I preview it in Xara, but not when published.
When I look at the source code it makes me scared. I am used to handcode my web sites and keep them very tidy and clean, but this is a mess...

    Back to the drawing board...

Hi Olle, I don't think you can have two popup layers over one another,
I have not found this to be the case. I have a template I use to created artist's galleries for a site I maintain. This is one of the galleries. Each of the 8 thumbnails links to a separate pop-up layer and all the layers are one on top of the other. http://www.placitasartists.com/m_rackstraw/

you need to also re-publish the index_html_files folder if you have added photos.

They still don't show up on the server.

I need to sleep now, but I'll be back in 12 hours to make a retry.
    Thanks so far!

    Hi Olle,

just to make this clear. The missing files are:

    index_html_files/05a2a273-c8f3-4694-99d6-65e60736459f.jpg
    index_html_files/436E8617-1F7D-4D58-BAB0-FFB1551AC645.png
    index_html_files/IMG_2354.jpg
    index_html_files/IMG_2355.jpg

Xara doesn't usually create such filenames by itself. Maybe there is something going wrong with applied names? It might be a good idea to upload an example file as Gary suggested.
