Hmmmm - webp? Support on Xara?

Ok noob here again, Longtime designer on dreamweaver and notepad plus and such

Now got Xara and loving it - BUT - I have a BUNCH of gif's (animated) that are condensed into webp files and show fine on my older sites (ones not created in Xara)

New sites I use Xara for it won't find or add these files at all?

How ? Why? Webp files have been around YEARS and are becoming the standard now a days - anyone know how to get these properly inserted and showing in a Xara site?

Create a box, press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+A and add a webp file, noting its filename, e.g, dancing_banana2.lossless.webp.

Create a second box and in its Placeholder body insert <img src="index_htm_files/dancing_banana2.lossless.webp" />.

It fails in Preview but works in other browsers and when published.

Xara does not have an Import for webp and does not save out as webp.

Could a mode move this to the Dear Xara forum, perhaps to Rob-Xar's new asks about web developments.

Eh, thought about that. Issue is webp was made nby google - and having them on ur site named well helps with SEO vs gif's not to mention if I convert them i'm an auto fail on load times of the pages with a GIF on them. .webp files for instance, I may have a .5 mb file and converted to gif like 1.5-2 MB for same file - I am not trying to ruin my page load times lol

ah cha cha - worked like a charm - not easy but IT WORKS! Thanks I am still learning all the advanced or quirky features this program has - so used to dreamweaver lol
