    Default PDF Export

    Hi All!

Does anyone know how to lock a PDF from editing when exporting in that format?

    Thanks!

Probably needs to be done in Acrobat or a third party PDF editing app.

Have a look at PDF Export Options > Advanced Settings > Security.
    Tick Apply security.
Under document Encryption & Permissions Password, select your encryption type (use 128-bit RCA) and add a Password.
    Then untick Modification.

Will this require a password for someone to read the document? I think the question involved editing the document.

No Gary. Modification still means you can read it. You can also untick Printing to stop it being printed and untick Copying ...

There is a separate Password stage for opening.

When I try this Acorn, none of the security options are available. Is there a restriction on the type of PDF export. The file I tried is set for PDF/X-4

PDF/X files cannot be password protected according to specification.
