Don't rush a good thing... You want a quickee? Try Mspaint. That is a "fisnished" product. If you need something that can do a little more, then you need some patience.

I take it that Picture Editor is not a sure thing?

If I buy Xara now, do I at least get a discount if they bring out Picture Editor as a whole separate package?

AS far as I know Charles and Crew should be working on it. You never know what programmers want to work on next. With a wait this long, it has to be a kick a$$ little program, if they are working on it. Only Charles and Crew know for sure. XPE comes with X1 now. When XPE was first released, Charles had mentioned a free upgrade to owners of X1. I do not know if that offer is still valid tho. If the program has been greatly changed, I would not expect xara to provide a free upgrade myself, nor fault them for not providing it.
