A similar thing happened to me once. I didn't know what to do and I was concerned that I would have to pay again for that expensive key. However I've found a solution in the windows 10 reddit key guide.

I'm not sure we have the same issue, but it helped me then and this problem never appeared again. I suppose it can help you too. My friends say I should trust any guide I see, but some of them are really helpful. I see no reason to be so skeptical about it. I have no idea why you went and edited in a Link to your quoted original Post. You added nothing to the Thread either that @Chris M and @hakoo didn't already cover.

There is nothing to update on a stale Thread.

As a newbie, you have no agreement to add links anyhow, however benign. Do read the TG T&C that you accepted.
