Default Navigation Bar submenu not working

I just purchased Xara Pro X and I am creating a website with a template. I was able to get two submenu links to work and now find it impossible for others to function properly. I am not a professional have had a good experience creating websites. Please help.

    Welcome to TalkGraphic

I have moved this thread to the Xara Web Design Chat forum.

Can you give us more details? For example, are you linking to other pages? Other websites? etc.

I downloaded a template and modified the names of the site navigation bar for my purposes. I then started to add submenu pages to the site but the new pages just appeared on the site navigation bar, messing it up. I unchecked the box - “Site Navigation Bar (automatically links to all pages and appears on all pages in site)” in the Navigation Bar Properties dialog. This solved the problem. I now proceeded to link the submenu pages to the main Navigation Bar. On previewing the whole web site, only the first two submenu links were successful. Several attempts to link any more submenu pages were futile. I am yet to upload this site online.

OK. Got it. There are many things to be desired in the method the nav bar works.

What I would suggest is do what you have been doing. First delete all the pages in the nav bar except the home page.

Then add your own pages. Create the nav bar without the option appears on all pages. Add pages manually in the Navigation Bar Properties menu then link the new pages to the actual pages in your variant. When you have done this use Arrange > Repeating Object > Repeat on All Pages to add the nav bar to the rest of the site.

Terrific. There has been some talk of updates to the Nav Bar functions but none so far.
