I have had to redo my wife's website previously done in NetObjects 12.
She has nine galleries of paintings and I wanted to create slide shows for each of the nine categories. More like a presentation than a slide show, but same idea.
BUT there is no option for adding the captions for each image, UNDER the image, and I did not think Mary would be very happy with the captions appearing over her artwork. AND the captions have a limited number of characters so this will not work for some of her images with long titles.
I have worked around this by creating separate pages for each category and creating a separate layer for each image and adding captions below the images.
Although this is a lot of work, I was able to create a kind of template (because we do not have Master Pages) that I copied and pasted onto each layer and then edited as needed. The forward and backward buttons had to be linked on each page, and the images dropped onto the page and aligned, but once I got into a rhythm it went fairly quickly.
I opted not to use layer transitions, though this could be used to give more of a slide show effect.
Not sure if this is just me Gary but I did check it in FF & Chrome. I see an issue with clicking on a gallery and then using the next buttons. Often it appears that there are only two images in the gallery, which there isn't, there are quite a few, but there's an odd delay.
