    Default Organized Fill Gallery

Over the 20 years I have been creating stereograms I have added random textures to a gallery folder. But it was out of control years ago and I never took the time to organize.

I finally did it. I created 12 categories, named and placed all related images in the appropriate folder.

I know this is not rocket science but I finally feel organized.

If anybody is interested in how to add a gallery to the Fill Gallery, here's how to do it.

    1. Open the Fill Gallery
    2. Select Disc Fills...
    3. Browse to the location of the folder you want to add and select it.
    4. Click Add
    5. Xara will tell you there is no index and would you like Xara to create an index?
    6. Click Create to create the index for all images in the folder.

Depending on the number of images in the folder, the process will either be quick or might take some time. Xara creates a thumbnail for each image and an index.

    And that's it.

Interesting Gary, I think I knew that. However I am proud of you for taking the time to do that.

I've been meaning to organize my (seamless) textures like that as well but never do when I realize that I will use them too little to make it worth my while. When I ever need them, I just drag & drop them from Explorer (where they are organized), delete them, open the Bitmap Gallery and click 'Fill'

Maybe I just have too much time on my hands.

But in all truth, an artist or craftsman with a full and tidy toolbox inspires confidence.

Good one. Beyond being satisfying, I wonder if it’ll change or speed up your workflow? I notice that you didn’t use a leading zero for the 1 to 9 texture names, to make them display in order.

Because there really is no special order and in most cases there are not that many images to a category.
