    Default Font for Laser Cutting

Can I be directed to discussion or advice on how to choose a font or font format for laser cutting. Using Xara so need font that will export in an editable format. Need to create name plates that link the letters, currently laser is cutting through after each letter.

"laser is cutting through after each letter."
    what does that mean?
I'll try to set up a discussion for you on laser cutting.Don't know for sure but I'll try.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

Thank you, I have tried to add an image to this reply, but I don't think it was successful.

In the laser program I can create a file that will cut, but it cuts each letter, and does not link the letters into a word. So in Xara I am trying to create an AI file of a name to send to laser cutting program. I need the word / name to link together as one continuous cut. However, I only seem to be able to export a text file from xara as an image, not an ai file. The Laser program cannot cut an image file, it can only etch an image file. OK I think what you need to do is select the text then Arrange > Combine Shapes > Add Shapes (or press Ctrl + 4) You will lose the ability to edit the text as it will be made into a shape so best to save a copy with the text as text in case you need to edit.
