Default contact form but not third party

    Hi,

Client wants a contact form that does not go through a 3rd party. They are concerned with security even if a company like jotform has this, they are not interested.
Is there a way to make a simple contact page that will reside on the clients server?

You can trawl the web for "php contact form"; this assumes the client's server supports PHP.

    A possible one: http://www.freecontactform.com/email_form.php.
If you have XBuilder > Form > contact form.

Could use PHP mailer and make your own form. There's a decent tutorial on how to do this:

    https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Tutorial

I'd be more inclined to use jotforms as you can encrypt the data: https://www.jotform.com/faq/#7

Thank you, both. @ROb I told her but she is keen not to use jotform. My adventure begins

I used this this site to make a simple PHP form that we host on our site.

    http://www.formmail-maker.com/formmail-maker-home.php

The form works great, however I did have to modify the PHP code slightly to get the proper text description on one of the fields.

The advantage of hosting this on your site is that you are not relaying on a third party site to be online all of the time.

I also thought about purchasing the Simfatic form maker if I needed more complex forms.

    good luck

I've been using Machform for years. https://www.machform.com/
Easy to configure the server side php and database and host it on your own server. Then build the code into your web page in a placeholder.
