Default 'This Image Would Be Better Compressed As A .JPG File'

'This Image Would Be Better Compressed As A .JPG File' - Why?
And why do I have to be reminded of this each time I import an image into Xara?
It would help if the pop-up had the option to Not Show This Message Again.
This is really so bloody annoying.

It can be shut off in the registry manually or via XaReg...

If you open a Xara blank photo file you can drop any image and then copy and paste into you main design without a nag.
This also preserves the image dimensions.

And there was me thinking you had retired, Acorn. I have never knowingly opened a blank photo file and I'm not sure how to go about it.
I have used Xara more than 10 years now and haven't come across it, but you have piqued my curiosity...

    Tough act to follow, Acorn.

Thanks for the info, though I'm pretty sure I won't be using it.

Hello and not looking to hijack the thread from the OP.
Is this a separate program or is part of the program installation, I have been running in to with issues with programs not starting at all and I was thinking maybe this or similar tool may help out. I did send the info requested to support via online form and have not heard anything back yet. So I thought I would look through the forums here.

XaReg is a utility that was developed several years ago. One of the developers died several years ago and the other developer is no longer active.

I have attached a ZIP file with XaReg 2.5, the last version released.
