This might be more of a XaraX question but I intend to use it in Xara3d

How do I make places inside a sold blank or contain nothing.

Example. I make a circle solid blue. I then make bars of white that go through the circle breaking it up into lines. I now only want the blue part to be left when I export it to Xara3D, but the white bars are solds too and the whole thing looks like a block. I've selected everything and marked them as editable shapes, but I think I am missing something. Sample image below...

    The resulting emf file is:
    circle.wmf

    Hi Krelvin,

If you are using XaraX to create your .wmf file, group the white bars. Select the group, then hold the shift key and click on the blue circle. Arrange >> Combine Shapes >> Subtract Shapes. Save the .xar file. If you have the plug-in installed you can import the .xar directly into Xara3D. If you do not have the plug-in export a .wmf from XaraX.

Nicely done. Looks like sails against a setting sun.

Its a logo of a client of one of my clients.

I actually traced over their original logo which was a jpg image rather than making it from scratch.

Making it from scratch, I would have made the circle, the bars etc.. like in my original question.

I was stuck with the same problem though because I had to make some inner pieces and couldn't figure out how to make them empty for lack of a better term.

I'll have another Question soon too as I tried to do the little box truck tutorial and ran into a problem adding the headlights back in XaraX as well, but I've got to go back and see exactly what the problem was.

    This stuff is fun though...

    Thanks for the help.
