    Stygg, ever the nitpick, an orbit of the Sun is a Solar Year. Perhaps the Earth has rotated 28,124 times since you arrived, if today is your 77th Birthday?

    and in any case the earth, the sun [and everything else out there] is moving in a very complex way - nothing staionary, no fixed points of reference, everything moves relative to everything else...

    You are correct Acorn, I did not use solar years, no point in being pernicketey at this age
