    Default FAQs/collapsible text

What is the the simplest system for FAQs (basically paragaphs where clicking the heading toggles an expanding/hiding of the rest of the paragraph with the page size adapted accordingly in both regular and mobile views). I recall a suggestion to do this with popup layers but can't get it to work properly.

Pop up layers would be my recommend but there is also a scrolling text box which might work though it is not very elegant.

I am sure this has been covered but I have no idea where. Acorn is pretty good at running these things down.

Thanks there's another thread at https://www.talkgraphics.com/showthr...AQ)&highlight= but the popup text thing is tricky across variants and I was wondeing if there is a simpler way to handle this within Xara.

I think it was okay across two variants but not more.

I attach another accordion that Siran created a while back which closes previously opened tabs on opening a new one.

    Info Re: FAQs/collapsible text

I offered up this a time back: CSS3 - Vertical Accordion.xar. The source is http://accordionslider.com/.

Tom Dick and Harry go Tabbing.xar is a pure Xara approach that is simple in concept but need careful sequencing to minimise effort.

    Thanks Gary, Egg and Acorn,

I ideally want to contract a paragraph without opening another and to also expand/contract whole sections (not just individual questions)...

yjs, the TDH approach allows any combination of opening & closing layers. You can create further links as well.

    Enjoy.

This will help. It is dynamic and Responsive and you can work from the back end.
