I think you will need to either reconfigure your keyboard to enter the characters, or use a combination of keys per character on a querty setup..

Nothing lasts forever...
I switched to the Cree keyboard and it still comes up as boxes in Xara (it works in LibreOffice). Is there a setting that I need to change in Xara ?
if it works in other programs but nor xara then I guess you need a real expert in xara fonts like Gare to come along - all I know is that xara does not [always] play well with extended character sets

If the glyphs appear in one program, and not in Xara, well...
the answer is academic.
Well, I could take the glyphs out of the existing typeface and force it to word in Xara. No big magic trick: FontLab and or Font Forge.
bjcrus.ttf, correct?
Because Xara cannot/won't give access to characters over 256 in Latin ISO, I will have to build you a new font.
If that's not what you can work with, I'm stumped.
A few hours of work ahead (damn, I do love a challenge:)!), but if the answer is "yes", I should have a new non-Cyrillic font by tomorrow.
Snagged it and set it up in FL.
Taking a pause now,
Best,
Gare
The version of Cree sylabics we need is the one that's in this dictionary that SiPhiKo sent me...

I have a feeling that, if you can pull this off, you will receive recognition in high places.

Hi Toby—
First of all, I removed your email address from your post. We have SO many spammers to weed out daily, I did not want you to volunteer as another target!
Generally, a spammer is banned within a few minutes, but it's that time in-between, you know?
I'll write to you soon. It's a good idea to stay on topic on this thead about free fonts.
This sounds like an exciting project!
I used to do free fonts for the tg membership when Xara Xone was an active concern.
My Best,
Gary
I don't know why this typeface is called College Stencil, but it's free on Behance, and there appears to be all the characters and numbers, although no punctuation glyphs in this free version.
I think with its minimalist rendering of a Didot-style font (where the thin parts of a Roman font go from 12 to 6 o'clock), it's a good font for creating a logo for a fancy product.
Have fun!
In fact - I will give you a credit in every passport I print for her clan members... these passports will be receiving international press, because what we are doing has never been done (as far as I know)
