    Lightbulb Applying a Soft Group

    Dear Xara...

Why is the application of a Soft Group not part of the Select tool context menu (right-click)?

If I select an existing soft-group, I can right click on the grouping and in the context menu I can pick Remove Soft Group.

Mostly to avoid flooding the context menu with every command available but keep the choices to the more common options.

    Thanks

OK. Soft-groups are one of the wonders of Xara Desktop applications; once you have cracked this, the World is your oyster.

    you can say that again

the ability to have linked objects that can be moved as a whole but are not contiguous in stacking order is a game changer in so many ways...

The Shape Painter Tool set to Warp works nicely with Soft-Grouped shapes.

Sorry no example... Don't want to embarrass myself.
