    Hi folks,

This is no big issue but still!
When you want a straight horizontal line in photoshop you use the line tool and at the same time you hit the shift key.
When I want a perfect horizontal line in XaraX1
I need to use a guide wich means an small but still extra effort.
Anyone know any trick in XaraX1 on this?

    Would be nice!

Hold down Cntl while clicking and the line will be locked at horizontal or vertical. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif That is if you use the shape editor tool... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Ctrl+Alt while drawing line with freehand tool. See help topic "Drawing straight lines with the Freehand & Brush Tool."

I tend to use the Shape Editor Tool - f4 - this one is constrained by CTRL - I expect John uses this too.

ALT +SHIFT using the freehand tool. If you use ALT +CTRL you will be forced to the angle constraint you have set in Options/General

Whew. You had me thinking I'd dozed off after reading half a post. Again.

Just to clarify, click the Shape Editor Tool onto the page, then hold down the Ctrl key. Click the end of the line and drag in the direction in which you want the line to go.
