    Default Send Error Report

    I've seen a couple of posts re this issue but it's the first time I've run into it. Basically I've downloaded a PSD file and tried to open it in XDPX by dragging it to the Xara title bar. I get an AVE. I opt to send the error report. This is what happens. Intuitive or Not?



    PS Searching the Xara Desktop page with "Send Error Report" brings up no useful links over three pages!

    Hi Egg,

    Thanks for reporting this! It is definitely something we need to fix ASAP! Previously this have created a ticket with generated log file and now... well let's just say it doesn't work as it should. We are already working to get this sorted!

    We are also in process of updating all our old Knowledge Base articles into our new Desktop Help Center, please understand that this is a very time consuming process and it will take a while until we can get it to as close as ideal as possible!

    Didn’t the support team notice it had gone a bit quiet? It’s been like this for few months.

    Crash reports are fed into an automated system that support doesn't look over

    If you are getting a reproducible access violation, please feel free to send us a ticket and we can take a look at it.

    Ah, that makes sense, although I would have thought it would be a useful performance indicator to keep an eye on how many crash reports have been automatically processed.

    That's always the tricky thing, getting them to happen again.

    Yea if it's reproducible we can fix it almost always. It's a heck of a lot harder if it's a temperamental or one off crash...
