PNG and gallery problem

Hi all,

I'm having a problem with placing a PNG image over a photo gallery. I've got the gallery on the page background and stretched to fit the page. I've been trying to place a PNG image with a transparent background on the next layer, but I keep getting the attached result when the images scroll. The background maintains a portion of the first image in the gallery rather than being transparent. If anyone has any ideas or fixes I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
