    @gray,
    My first car was a 39 Ford Tudor, three of my good friends had 40 Ford coupes.
    Cool, I have a 38 ford coupe and a 23 "T"bucket which I putt around in and occasionally take to local car shows.

    Lucky you, Mike. I owned a lot of old Fords back then. I had a 38 Deluxe tudor along the way as well. And you have a T bucket. I built an early T bucket about 50 years ago. I used a 343 AMC motor with 9" Ford rear end. I have an old friend that still has his 38 Ford standard tudor sitting in his garage. Hasn't run in about 45 years. Another old friend still has his 51 Ford convert and Caddie powered A roadster pickup from when he was 20. Do you have any pics of your cars I could see. I have no old cars myself now. The body doesn't like crawling around them anymore.

    Thanks, Ron.
    Speaking of old cars. Here's one of my favorite cars. A Ford Deuce roadster, powered by a flathead Ford with Ardun overhead conversion. The heads designed by Arkus Duntov of Corvette fame.

    Hey, thanks Ron.
    Beautiful looking cars, Mike. That 38 standard is a rare car. I'm assuming small block Chev like the T? The small blocks always fit the old Ford's so well dimensionally. No starter change overs or moving the steering box like with the old Olds and Buick motor swaps. Also nice weight wise. I bet you really enjoy those in the summer.

    I'll throw up another oldie. Based on a car from the 20's attempting to set a speed record. The driver was killed attempting the run at Daytona Beach.

    Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
