Default Slice (cut) Shapes using rectangle in two separated parts

    Hi,

    I'd appreciate help.
As showed in this screen-recording (http://bit.ly/2tVCGbN), I have used a rectangle to "Slice (cut) Shapes" on an image, but the remained parts are still connected.
Is it possible the sliced parts becomes separated from each other?

    Thanks for assistance!
    Carlos

Carlos, I have tried the mp4 and it will not play for me.

I would try with four crossing lines that are larger than the image.
    Make them all 10mp.
Use Combine Shapes > Intersect All Shapes.

If you choose to break shapes on the remainder, I think that accomplishes what you want.

    Hi Carlos,

Using (menu) Arrange>Break Shapes should do it.

    ...Mike beat me.

    Thanks all for the replies!

I could achieve the expected result through two steps:
1- Combine Shapes > Slice (cut) Shapes
    2- Arrange>Break Shapes

To know if I recorded my screen correctly, since Acorn mentioned the video didn't work for him (http://bit.ly/2tVCGbN), does it worked for the others?

Carlos, Video works fine here on both IE 11 and Chrome.

Fails on Chrome but works in Edge! So not to worry.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
