Sorry, that's a load of marketing crap. Why does it need users to ask such question here on TG?

Because Magix doesn't care about Xara.

1. https://www.magix.com/gb/products/ Product Finder just lets XDPX in at #20 of 61 on the first page.
   
   1. The other Xara Desktop applications come in on page 2 (#21, #22,#23) & Page 3 (#47, #51, #54).
   2. Page & Layout Designer 11 is Version: 11.2.3.40788 dated 01 September 2015.
   
   
2. The Xara "offers" are all tuned to inspire doubt that you might miss out.
3. https://www.xara.com/ is copyright Xara GmbH.
4. https://www.xara.com/ has a single link to Xara Desktop applications (http://www.xara.com/uk/products/).
5. Xara has no UK directors.
6. ddmagix has been absent since Christmas.
7. Xara responses on TG are like hen's teeth (I thought you'd like that one Egg).
   
   1. Xara CEO assures us that the Xara Cloud is not impacting Desktop development.
   
   
8. Desktop Updates are bug fixes with a few Christians thrown to the lions for the amusement of the masses.
   
   1. The access to previous versions for download has all but evaporated.
   
   
9. The Update Service! Don't get me started on the Update Service.
   
   1. All design content is abstracted away on-line so out of cover and you lose it all.
   2. Revert to your purchase version and you lose bug fixes (Xara is latterly realising this and offering up later versions that then will not work).

the way the update is being marketed, on the page the OP referred to, is typical of Magix and its love of bundling

it's crap in the same way that [in the UK] the marketing of DFS is crap [has anyone ever paid full price for a sofa from them ?]
